More than 160 North Koreans detained by Russia after boat attack

Russian border guards have detained more than 160 crew members from two North Korean vessels detained in the Sea of Japan.

The boats were suspected of being involved in illegal fishing off the coast and the crew could face life in prison.

UK SUPREME COURT HEARS PROROGATION CASE

The suspension of Parliament should not be a matter for the UK's Supreme Court.

That's what the government's lawyer has told the court on the second day of its hearings on the issue.

The Court is hearing two appeals on the matter - with campaigners insisting the government prorogued Parliament until 14th October to avoid Brexit scrutiny.

A decision could be handed down within days.

European Parliament passes Brexit resolution

The European Parliament passed a resolution on Brexit, reaffirming its supports for the EU's key points in negotiations with the United Kingdom.

Lawmakers also agreed to an extension beyond the October 31st deadline for UK to leave the bloc, if the British government requests it.

UGANDA RWANDA TALKS ON EXTRADITION

Trump Admin to Revoke California's Emissions Control Authority

The Trump administration is expected to formally revoke California's legal authority to set auto emissions rules that are stricter than the federal government's rules. 

The move sets up a legal battle between the federal government and California, the most populous state in the U.S.

Justice Department Sues for Proceeds from Snowden's Book
