PROTESTERS LOSE PUBLIC OPINION FOLLOWING AIRPORT CHAOS

Flights out of Hong Kong have begun resuming normal service following a night of chaos that paralyzed the transport hub.

The vast majority of protesters left the airport on Wednesday after a court issued an injunction banning pubic events from taking place there.

Trump urges calm in Hong Kong

US President Donald Trump says US intelligence believes the Chinese government is moving troops towards the border with Hong Kong, as clashes between police and protesters in the city intensify.

Flight check-in has been suspended in Hong Kong international airport for a second day as protesters occupied the terminal building.

Areas near Notre-Dame to be decontaminates

Areas around the burnt-out Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris are going to be decontaminated of lead.

US Attorney General criticises Epstein prison

US Attorney General William Barr has criticised "serious irregularities" at the jail where the alleged sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found dead on Saturday.

The New York Times reports one of the two people guarding Mr Epstein was not a full-fledged officer, and neither guard checked on Epstein's cell for several hours before he was discovered.

Trump Tightens Regulations for Immigrants on Benefits
