65 people dead and 10 others injured in the latest insurgent attack in Nigeria

An insurgent attack over the weekend in Nigeria's Borno state has left 65 people dead and 10 others injured while the victims attended a funeral ceremony in the state.

3 DEAD IN CALIFORNIA SHOOTING

Three people have been killed by a gunman at a food festival in the US state of California.

Police shot the suspect dead but have been investigating reports of a second suspect.

It happened at the Gilroy Garlic Festival and is the 246th mass shooting in the US this year.

15 people were injured in the incident.

These people were at the event when the shooting started.

RAAB: 'NO DEAL BREXIT IF EU WON'T RE-NEGOTIATE'

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab says there will be a No Deal Brexit on October 31st if the EU re-negotiate.

The warning comes as Boris Johnson makes his first visit to Scotland as UK Prime Minister.

India's tiger population up by 30%

India's government has confirmed that the country's tiger population has increased by 30% in the last four years. 

The results of the latest tiger census were released on the occasion of World Tiger Day and the government says it has achieved the target of doubling the number of wild tigers by 2022 ahead of schedule.

President Trump threatens tariffs on French wine over digital services taxes

UN calls on EU to resume Mediterranean Sea rescues

The United Nations Refugee Agency has called on the European Union to resume naval rescues over the Mediterranean sea, after some 150 refugees reportedly drowned off the coast of Libya on Thursday.


The EU ended the rescue operations in March, but refugees from the Middle East and Africa have continued to flee by boat from war-torn Libya, a key departure point for Europe.

US Urges North Korea to Engage Diplomatically

The United States is urging North Korea to pursue a diplomatic course after the North carried out two short-range missile tests.

UN condemns Mogadishu suicide attack; can't confirm envoy was target

The United Nations has strongly condemned Wednesday's deadly terror attacks in Mogadishu.

The suicide bombing at government offices reportedly killed six people and injured several others including the mayor.

Somali-based extremist group Al Shabab has claimed responsibility, saying it was targeting local officials and the UN Special Envoy to Somalia.
