UK, IRELAND HOLD TALKS

The British and Irish governments are holding their first talks (Friday) since Boris Johnson became UK Prime Minister.

Mr Johnson says Britain will leave the EU on October 31st, with or without a new deal in place.

The EU says it will not renegotiate the existing Withdrawal Agreement that Boris Johnson says is 'dead'.

His new government is rolling out domestic plans amid speculation of a UK election within months.

Conservative Party Chairman James Cleverly says the new administration is getting to work.
