Trump Moves to Force Census Question

President Donald Trump is expected to issue an executive order requiring that the next national census includes a question about citizenship.

U.S. courts have already ruled against it what is widely perceived to be a political maneuver to shift power away from Latino areas.

French quadriplegic man dies after decade-long battle over right-to-die

A French man who was in a vegetative state has died following a decade-long battle over the right-to-die.

Vincent Lambert was left paralysed and could not use any of his limbs following a motorcycle accident in 2008.

UK IS MONITORING GULF AFTER IRAN VESSEL TENSIONS

Russia hopes for US arms control treaty extension

France hits back at US over digital tax

The French government says its planned tax on Internet giants is entirely compliant with international agreements and it has the sovereign right to decide its own taxes, in a push back against the US administration.

BRITISH NAVY INTERVENES TO PROTECT TANKER IN GULF

A Royal Navy ship has intervened to protect a British oil tanker near the Gulf from Iranian boats, according to the Ministry of Defence.

The MoD says HMS Montrose drove off three boats which had approached the British Heritage tanker, and issued verbal warnings.

Tehran denies any attempt to seize the tanker close to the Strait of Hormuz.

Last week British Royal Marines assisted authorities in Gibraltar in seizing an Iranian tanker suspected of breaching EU sanctions.

Foreign affairs analyst Tim Marshall says the Navy will have been prepared for incidents like this.

U.S. officials accuse Iran of trying to seize British oil tanker

U.S. Defense officials say the Iranian Revolutionary Guard attempted
to seize a British oil tanker in the Persian Gulf.
