Teachers take selfies to mark attendance in Indian schools

Teachers in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh have been asked to mark their attendance daily by taking selfies.

India has a shortage of 1 million teachers and most public schools in the rural parts of the country are notorious for teachers skipping school and sub-letting their positions.
