British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt says the country is monitoring closely the situation in the Gulf, after Iranian boats attempted to impede a British oil tanker.
It comes as tensions in the area have grown. There have been a series of incidents between Iran and the US while last week the UK seized an Iranian oil tanker.
