'DO IT' WARNING TO UK GOVERNMENT ON CLIMATE

The UK government isn't acting fast enough to hit its own ambitious climate change targets, according to its adviser on the issue.

Prime Minister Theresa May recently announced Britain would become a world-leader by cutting greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

But the Committee on Climate Change says the government needs to 'get real' and start taking action that can achieve that target.

CCC Chairman Lord Deben says old targets may even be missed at the current rate of progress.

EU calls on Iran to uphold nuclear agreement

The European Union has called on Iran to scale back its uranium enrichment program which it says undermines the nuclear deal agreed in twenty fifteen.
