New guidelines to reduce dementia risk

New guidelines say people can reduce the risk of dementia by getting
regular exercise, not smoking, avoiding too much alcohol and eating a
healthy diet.

The World Health Organization collected data from 80 countries to
offer the new guidelines to healthcare providers, governments and
policy makers.

Dementia is on the rise with 50 million people worldwide currently
suffering from the condition - that figure is set to triple by 2050.

Dr Neerja Chowdhary from the World Health Organization says these
guidelines will help.

UK Remain Parties Fail To Unite Over European Elections

British political parties with a pro-remain stance on Brexit, appear to be dividing and not uniting ahead of the European elections.


There are concerns that this could see pro-leave parties like the Brexit party do better at the ballot, as the remain vote will be spread among several parties.

North Korea accuses US of "robbery" over ship seizure

WhatsApp Hack

Messaging app WhatsApp has experienced a hack, in which surveillance software had been remotely installed on phones and other devices.


Newspaper The Financial Times reported the cyber attack was developed by Israeli security firm NSO Group, but the group said the technology used is licensed to authorised government agencies for the sole purpose of fighting crime and terror.

Police suspect suicide in German crossbow deaths

German police say evidence points to a group suicide in the mysterious case of three people killed with a crossbow in a Bavarian hotel room.

Authorities then also found two more dead bodies at the residence of one of the victims although it's still unclear how the cases are linked.

Authorities in India assess damage following Cyclone Fani

Electric scooters targeted by authorities in Paris

Companies which rent electric scooters in Paris will face more regulation from the city's authorities.
