Shiv Sena calls for burqa ban in India following Sri Lanka attacks

A key ally of India's ruling party has called for a public ban on burqas in India. This comes after the Sri Lanka announced it was considering a ban following the Easter Sunday terror attacks in Colombo and around the country.

Mueller objects to US Attorney General's conclusions on Russia investigation


Robert Muller, the Special Counsel in charge of the Russia investigation has written to the US Attorney General, William Barr, objecting to the way he characterised the report.

The Washington Post reports that Mueller said that Barr did not "fully capture the context, nature, and substance" of the investigation or its conclusions.

Barr is due to give testimony to US lawmakers for the first time since the publication of the Mueller report on Wednesday.

Former US policeman guilty of murdering unarmed Australian woman

A former policeman in the US state of Minnesota has been found guilty of murdering an unarmed Australian woman.

Mohamed Noor shot Justine Damond as she approached his patrol car to report a possible sexual assault behind her home in July 2017.

Revealed: Mueller objected to Barr précis of Special Prosecutor's investigation

It's been revealed that Robert Mueller, the Special Prosecutor who investigated ties between the Trump campaign and the Russians, wrote to President Trump's Attorney General complaining about his claim that investigators had exonerated the President.


The revelation is leading to calls for William Barr's resignation, with Democrats saying they may move to impeach him.

Trump sues two banks, to block investigation into his finances

Donald Trump is suing two banks, in an effort to block a Congressional investigation into his finances.

Ugandan Popstar Bobiwine Jailed

A public inquiry's starting to take evidence into a contaminated blood scandal in the UK which is thought to have killed over 2000 people.

In the 1970s and 80s around 4800 people with haemophilia are thought to have been infected with HIV or hepatitis C.

Thousands of patients were also infected during childbirth or operations due to contaminated blood products imported from the US.

Rosenstein to resign from Justice Department
