UK BLOOD SCANDAL INQUIRY TO TAKE EVIDENCE

A public inquiry's starting to take evidence into a contaminated blood scandal in the UK which is thought to have killed over 2000 people.

In the 1970s and 80s around 4800 people with haemophilia are thought to have been infected with HIV or hepatitis C.

Thousands of patients were also infected during childbirth or operations due to contaminated blood products imported from the US.

Michelle Tolley was given contaminated blood during childbirth and is one of those giving testimony.
