Robert Muller, the Special Counsel in charge of the Russia investigation has written to the US Attorney General, William Barr, objecting to the way he characterised the report.
The Washington Post reports that Mueller said that Barr did not "fully capture the context, nature, and substance" of the investigation or its conclusions.
Barr is due to give testimony to US lawmakers for the first time since the publication of the Mueller report on Wednesday.
