MAY 'WORKING ON PLANS' FOR BREXIT VOTE DEFEAT

UK Prime Minister Theresa May is reported to be working on contingency plans for a defeat in this month's crucial parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal.

The House of Commons is due to vote in the week of January 14th on the deal Mrs May has struck with the European Union.

It comes as a poll suggests more than half Conservative Party members would prefer to leave the EU with no deal, than under the terms of Theresa May's deal.
