UK Prime Minister Theresa May's meeting her cabinet (on Monday) for the first time since her Brexit plans were rejected at last week's EU summit in Salzburg.

She's reportedly facing growing pressure from some ministers to drop her Chequers proposals, and work towards a Canada-style trade weal with Brussels.

The government is denying it's making plans for a snap election within weeks.

Last Mediterranean migrant rescue ship to be deflagged

The last private rescue ship saving migrants in the Mediterranean Sea is being forced to end its operations.

Indian government launches 'world's largest' healthcare scheme

India has launched a new scheme that will provide free healthcare insurance to 500 million people.

Accuser of Supreme Court nominee set to testify on Thursday

Paypal joins other tech giants, bans InfoWars

PayPal says it is cutting off its service to American conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

Deputy Attorney General of US denies plotting to record, overthrow Trump

The US official overseeing the investigation into Donald Trump's ties to the Russians is denying a report that he once suggested secretly taping the US President, and launching a plot to oust him from power.

China wants US to revoke sanctions over Russian military equipment

UK Prime Minister says she will not undermine Brexit referendum

Following failures to reach agreements in the Brexit negotiation process with EU leaders in Salzburg this week, UK Prime Minister Theresa May has given a statement telling the other 27 members of the European Union that their behaviour was not acceptable.

Mrs May argued that the EU had rejected her proposals without coming up with counter negotiations on two major sticking points - the UK's Economic Policy post-Brexit and the issues surrounding the Irish boarder.

In her address, Prime Minster May said she would not agree to measures that would undermine the referendum results.

Moon's approval rating soars after summit

South Korean President Moon Jae-in's approval rating has soared following his third summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. But Moon experienced a similar boost after his first summit, only to see approval dive sharply on domestic issues.

According to a poll by Gallup Korea, President Moon Jae-in's approval rating hit 61 percent.

It was hovering just below 50 percent before he met North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Pyongyang this week.

Kim promised to shut down parts of his nuclear weapons program at the summit.

Moon has made peace on the Korean Peninsula a priority of his presidency. And this year military tensions have been remarkably low.

Moon also championed himself as a jobs president.

But a series of labor reforms, including a minimum wage hike, have hurt his popularity at home.

So Moon will need more than pledges from Kim to keep the public satisfied.

Hundreds missing after ferry capsizes in Tanzania

Hundreds of people are feared missing after a ferry capsized on Lake Victoria in Tanzania.
