Deputy Attorney General of US denies plotting to record, overthrow Trump

The US official overseeing the investigation into Donald Trump's ties to the Russians is denying a report that he once suggested secretly taping the US President, and launching a plot to oust him from power.

Rod Rosenstein (PRON:  ROSEN-STEEN) is the Deputy Attorney General of the United States, and reportedly hatched the plan - which was never implemented - shortly after President Trump fired the Director of the FBI.

Our US Correspondent Simon Marks reports.
