US lets companies test drones for commercial use

The United States is allowing ten drone companies to carry out tests to find ways to safely integrate the unmanned aircrafts into US airspace.

Apple, Microsoft and Uber will all be involved - but Amazon will not.

U.S. set to press allies over Iran next steps

UK goverment apologises to Libyan opposition figure kidnapped by Gaddafi's forces in 2004


The UK government has apologised for what it has called the 'appalling treatment' of a Libyan opposition figure and his wife after they were captured by forces loyal of Colonel Gaddafi in 2004. 


Abdul Hakim Belhaj and Fatima Boudchar who were kidnapped from Thailand  after a tip off by British intelligence service MI6. 


Britain's Prime Minister, Theresa May has written to the couple to apologise for what she called 'a failing' on the part of the British government. 


Mr Belhaj has long  sought an apology from the British government after he was detained for six years and torture by Gaddafi's forces.


Ms Boudchar was pregnant when she was captured and has been awarded over $650 thousand in damages. 


She and her son were present in the House of Commons for the apology statement read by Attorney General, Jeremy Wright.

RBS reaches $5b settlement with US regulators over pre-crash financial products

Britain's Royal Bank of Scotland has agreed to pay nearly $5 billion to US regulators to settle a long-running probe into its actions in the lead up to the 2008 financial crisis.

20 Killed in Kenya Dam Burst

Two Indian men arrested for Nasa con

Indian police have arrested a man and his son for duping a businessman by claiming that the two worked for the American space agency Nasa.

The men were nabbed wearing 'space suits' made out of aluminium tin foil.

FREED AMERICANS HOME FROM NORTH KOREA

President Trump has welcomed three Americans freed from jail sentences by North Korea.

Trump will welcome 3 freed Americans from North Korea

President Trump has welcomed North Korea's decision to free three Americans serving jail sentences in Pyongyang.


The President says he will be on hand at Andrews Air Force Base in the early hours of Thursday morning to welcome the men back to US soil.


Secretary of State Mike Pompeo negotiated their release during a visit to North Korea, and also fixed a date and a location for the planned summit meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong Un.


The President, at the White House, was asked whether anything could now scuttle the meeting.

UK Prime Minister says she is committed to Iran Nuclear Deal


The British Prime Minister Theresa May has responded to questions in the British parliament over US President Donald Trump pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal, brokered by his predecessor Barack Obama.


Mrs May along with her counterparts in Germany and France released a joint statement saying they were still committed to the 2015 agreement.


But President Trump says he will remove the US from the deal and reimpose sanctions, arguing the Iran Nuclear deal was 'defective at its core'


Iran meanwhile has responded saying it would restart uranium enrichment if the agreement could not be salvaged.


The UK Prime Minister responded saying that while there are issues that need to be addressed, Britain and other members involved in the deal have pledged their continued support for it.
