FREED AMERICANS HOME FROM NORTH KOREA

President Trump has welcomed three Americans freed from jail sentences by North Korea.

The President was on hand at Andrews Air Force Base in the early hours of Thursday morning local time to welcome the men back to US soil.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo negotiated their release during a visit to North Korea, and also fixed a date and a location for the planned summit meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong Un.

Kim Hak-song, Tony Kim and Kim Dong-chul have thanked President Trump and the Secretary of State for securing their release.

US political analyst Peter Matthews says it's a significant moment.
