Nestle to sell Starbucks coffee in $7.2bn deal

Nestle has agreed a deal with Starbucks, worth more than $7 billion dollars, to sell its coffee in supermarkets and stores.

Nestle has described the agreement as a "global coffee alliance".

Trump defends CIA nominee after she offers to withdraw over waterboarding criticism

Indian teen raped, set on fire

A 17-year-old was raped, doused in kerosene and set on fire in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

This is the second such case that has been reported. Last week, a 16-year-old was raped and burned to death in front of her parents.

Salman Khan appears in court for appeal hearing in poaching case

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has appeared in court in Jodhpur in Rajasthan to challenge a five-year jail sentence for a poaching case in which he was accused of killing two blackbuck, an endangered species of Indian antelope.

Europeans lobby US to stick with Iran deal

European leaders are making last ditch attempts to persuade US President Trump to stick with the Iran nuclear agreement.

Trump's security adviser denies President seeking U.S. troop exit from South Korea

UK Prime Minister Theresa May's Conservative Party has avoided what some predicted could be a disastrous performance in local elections which could have intensified questions about her leadership.

In council elections across England the opposition Labour Party failed to gain control of a series of key target local authorities.

The US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - which runs the Oscars - has expelled Bill Cosby and Roman Polanski.

Scotland to review Lockerbie bombing conviction

Scottish authorities have announced they are to review the case of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi who was convicted of the Lockerbie bombing.

Megrahi, who died in 2012, was jailed for 27 years for the 1988 bombing of Pan Am flight 103 which killed 270 people.

Trump concedes he knew payments were made to porn star

President Trump has conceded that he knew his lawyer made payments to a porn star who claimed she'd had an affair with Mr. Trump….and that those payments were reimbursed by the President.
