The US Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - which runs the Oscars - has expelled Bill Cosby and Roman Polanski.
Comedian Bill Cosby was convicted of sexual assault in April, and Roman Polanski has admitted the statutory rape of a girl in 1977.
The Academy says the decisions were taken to uphold its standards of conduct.
