French President believes Trump will withdraw from Iran deal

French President Emmanuel Macron believes Donald Trump is likely to pull the United States out of the Iran nuclear deal, despite European attempts to maintain the agreement.

Macron made the comments at a Washington DC University after a day of events with President Trump. 

As our correspondent John Clarke reports from Washington, such a move could split the West and Iran could restart its nuclear programme.

Cosby trial goes to jury - no verdict after day one

The jury in the sexual assault trial of US actor Bill Cosby will
return for a second day of deliberations after they failed to reach a
verdict on Wednesday.

This is the second trial for Cosby after last year's legal process
ended in a hung jury.

US police officer charged in death of Australian woman to plead “not guilty”

The US police officer charged with the murder of Australian woman Justine Damond last year is set to plead not guilty.

Minneapolis police officer Mohammed Noor shot Ms. Damond dead behind her home, after she had called the 911 emergency line to report a woman screaming.

California Police Make Arrest in Decades Long Cold Case

Police in Northern California say they've arrested a suspect they believe to be the Golden State Killer and the East Area Rapist. 

It's a decades long cold case involving a defendant who is a former police officer.

U.S. immigration: DACA upheld, travel ban in Supreme Court

A U.S. federal judge has ruled against the Trump administration's attempt to end deportation protections under the Deferred Action for Childood Arrivals or DACA program, which is for individuals who were brought to the US without documents as children.

This comes as the US Supreme Court is hearing arguments about another key element of Trump's immigration policy — the travel ban.

UN rights agency, nuclear watchdog respond to DPRK move to close atomic site, suspend tests

North Korea's announcement to suspend its nuclear and missile tests and shut down an atomic test site has drawn optimistic but cautious reactions from international bodies. 


The Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization hailed the move, but pressed for a definitive commitment to ban nuclear testing.

UK GOV expects MPs to back customs union exit

Indian godman found guilty for rape of underage girl

Asaram Bapu, a self-styled godman, has been convicted by an Indian court for raping a 16-year-old girl in 2013. The maximum punishment for raping underage girls in India is life imprisonment.

Ironically, he first shot to fame in the 1970s for teaching his followers how they should control their sexual desires. The 77-year-old guru claims to have 40 million followers globally.

Amazon to begin deliveries to cars

UN wants coalition probe into Yemen strikes that killed at least 45 civilians in four days

Airstrikes in Yemen over the past four days — believed to have been carried out by the Saudi-led coalition — have killed at least 45 people, according to the United Nations.
