UK GOV expects MPs to back customs union exit

The UK Brexit secretary says he expects Parliament to 'uphold' the government's policy of leaving the customs union. All EU countries are automatically members; it means there are no internal taxes on goods that are transported between EU countries. But David Davis told MPs it was 'vital' to leave - and wouldn't comment on what would happen if they defied ministers over the issue.
