He took spoke on domestic issues, like social security, economic development and local regional problems. Roy Moore refuses to concede Alabama special election

Republican candidate Roy Moore is refusing to concede that he's lost the special election to fill the open U.S. Senate seat for Alabama.

Turnout was much higher than expected - some 40 percent of Alabama voters - and the Alabama state secretary - who must certify the electionresults by December 29 - says a recount is extremely unlikely.

Roy Moore issued a video statement to his supporters insisting the race is not over yet.

SIX MONTHS ON: GRENFELL TOWER BLAZE

It's exactly six months since the Grenfell Tower fire in London which left 71 people dead.

Politicians, members of the royal family, bereaved relatives, survivors and emergency services workers are joining commemorations at St Paul's Cathedral in London.

The blaze in a block of flats on June 14th was one of Britain's worst peace-time tragedies.

Homeless "cooking fire" blamed for one of California's wildfires

Wildfires that have devastated parts of California are starting to get
under control.

Firefighters say strong winds, which were spreading flames, have died down.

It comes after investigators determined that a cooking fire, at a
homeless encampment, was to blame for one of the blazes close to Los
Angeles.

UK Government loses brexit bill vote

Prime Minister Theresa May has received a loss at home with MPs voting in favour of an amendment to the EU withdrawal bill.


They've opted to introduce an additional statutory process, which ensures MPs will be given the final sign off on the Brexit deal negotiated by the UK government and Brussels.


309 MPs voted in favour of the amendment to just 305 against it.

US Sec of State says he's ready to talk to North Korea

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said he is ready to talk to North Korea, without preconditions.

No good cause to fire special counsel - Deputy US AG

There is no good cause to fire special counsel Robert Mueller, Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein  told the U.S> House of Representatives Judiciary Committee.

U.S. President Donald Trump continues to post on social media that there is no evidence of collusion between his supporters and the Russians, and the ongoing investigation is just a Democrat-led conspiracy.

His supporters are also trying to make the case that the special counsel's office is not truly independent and undermine their work.

Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein told Representative Jerry Nadler, he has no evidence of any questionable actions by Rober Mueller.

Supporters of Donald Trump have seized upon the news that a FBI agent detailed to the special counsel's office made inappropriate tweets in support of Hillary Clinton while he was supposed to be investigating her use of a personal email server. 

Special Counsel Robert Mueller immediately fired the agent upon discovery of the texts in July.

Democrats urge legislative pause until Doug Jones can be seated
