RYANAIR PILOTS TO STRIKE

Some Ryanair pilots are due to strike in December in industrial action which could disrupt Christmas travel plans for passengers.

It's a dispute with the European budget airline over union recognition and conditions.

Rights groups urge Myanmar sanctions over Rohingya crisis

A group of 81 human rights organizations are calling on the United
Nations to impose sanctions on the Myanmar government for alleged
abuses against the Rohingya population.

The group says the UN Security Council's condemnations have not worked
and action is now needed.

Sen. Gillibrand reiterates call for Trump investigation

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is reiterating her call that U.S. President Donald Trump should be investigated, after 3 women publicly accused him of touching them inappropriately.

U.S. President Donald Trump posted a tweet attacking Senator Gillibrand, suggesting she is a lightweight and would do anything for a campaign donation, including "begging" him.

Senator Gillibrand told reporters, the American president's response was an attempt to silence her.

NYC bombing suspect charged with terror offenses

The man suspected of carrying out an attempted bombing in New York
City Monday has been charged with terror offenses.

Akayed Ullah was one of four people injured when a device strapped to
his body exploded.

1960s American defector to North Korea dies in Japan aged 77


A former American soldier who defected to North Korea in the 1960s has died in Japan.

Charles Jenkins crossed into the North while he was stationed in South Korea in 1965 to escape military service in the US Army.

Paris hosts world leaders for climate summit

WH: NY terror attack shows need for tougher immigration rules


A 27-year-old man is in custody after detonating a pipe bomb device in 
what police are calling an "attempted terrorist attack" in New York. 

The incident took place during the Monday morning rush hour at one of 
Manhattan's busiest transit hubs. 

The suspect, 27-year old Akayed Ullah, and three other people were injured in the explosion. 

Ullah arrived in the U.S. from Bangladesh on an immigrant visa in 2011.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says Monday's attempted suicide bombing points to the need for tougher immigration rules.

Firefighters struggle as wildfires spread

US bitcoin futures trading up in first day of trade

Newly launched bitcoin futures on the Chicago Board Options Exchanges were trading up and holding steady around the 18-thousand mark in afternoon trading.


The launch of Bitcoin on a US exchange is seen as a key step to bringing the cryptocurrency into the mainstream.

New Evacuations Ordered As California Wildfire Grows

The wildfires which have decimated parts of Southern California are
