A 27-year-old man is in custody after detonating a pipe bomb device in
what police are calling an "attempted terrorist attack" in New York.
The incident took place during the Monday morning rush hour at one of
Manhattan's busiest transit hubs.
The suspect, 27-year old Akayed Ullah, and three other people were injured in the explosion.
Ullah arrived in the U.S. from Bangladesh on an immigrant visa in 2011.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says Monday's attempted suicide bombing points to the need for tougher immigration rules.
