ANTI-HATE CRIME VIGIL HELD IN LONDON

A vigil's been held in east London to protest against Islamophobic attacks and hate crime.

It comes after police confirmed that an acid attack on a man and a woman in the area last month was being treated as a hate crime.

Resham Khan and Jameel Muhktar had acid thrown at them by a man who is still at large.

India's prime minister Narendra Modi has announced new flights from India to Tel Aviv and simplified rules for Israeli citizens of India to get overseas citizen of India cards.

China, India issue warnings over border stand-off days ahead of Modi-Xi meeting

India and China have both mobilised troops along the shared border in the North Indian state of Sikkim. China has accused India of violating its territory while India claims that China is trying to build a road on Indian soil. 

The dispute has also drawn in Bhutan with the landlocked country siding with India on this issue. 

The stand-off has been on for four weeks with both nations refusing to backdown.

Russia, Turkey and Iran fail to agree on Syria de-escalation zones

US threatens military force against North Korea

At a fiery session of the United Nations Security Council the US has threatened to use military force "if we must" in response to North Korea's latest missile test. 

The US ambassador also threatened countries, including China, which aided Pyongyang's weapons program by continuing to trade with the country.

Cost to rebuild Mosul will top $1 billion, says UN

Rebuilding Mosul's essential infrastructure will cost over a billion dollars, according to the United Nations.

Emirates and Turkish Airlines allow laptops in cabins

Emirates and Turkish Airlines have said the cabin ban on laptops no longer applies on their flights to the US.

They join Etihad Airways which saw the ban lifted on Sunday.

Brussels anti-terror raids lead to multiple arrests

Four people have been arrested and taken in for questioning in Brussels after a collection of guns was found during overnight anti-terror raids.
