China, India issue warnings over border stand-off days ahead of Modi-Xi meeting

India and China have both mobilised troops along the shared border in the North Indian state of Sikkim. China has accused India of violating its territory while India claims that China is trying to build a road on Indian soil.

The dispute has also drawn in Bhutan with the landlocked country siding with India on this issue.

The stand-off has been on for four weeks with both nations refusing to backdown.
