The US State Department has expressed sympathy for the family of of
Otto Warmbier, following his funeral in his home state of Ohio.
The 22 year old died after being detained on a trip to North Korea. He
was recently returned in a coma to the US after diplomatic
intervention.
US State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said his death is devastating:

"characterize" comments on a North Korean ambassador's claim that the
country protects all its detainees.
