US: North Korea tests ballistic missile rocket engine

US officials say North Korea has tested a rocket engine as part of its
program to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile.

It comes just a day after ministerial-level talks in Washington DC
between the US and China aimed at finding a solution to curb
Pyongyang's tests.
