Man lynched by a mob in India on suspicion of eating beef

A group of Muslim men were thrashed by a mob in New Delhi in broad daylight. The mob attacked them over rumours that the men had eaten beef.

One of the four men attacked has died, the other three have sustained serious injuries.

Of late many right wing groups in India have been involved in vigilante violence against minority groups. Hindus consider the cow to be their holy animal.
