The regime of Kim Jong Un is raising the possibility of nuclear war, ahead of the 105th birthday celebrations for Kim Il Sung, the founder of North Korea.

U.S. President Donald Trump is being updated on the situation, and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is set to leave on a planned trip to the region, starting in South Korea.

Heathrow third runway legal costs

London councils have spent over 400 thousand dollars on legal fees in attempts to block the planned third runway at Heathrow airport.

Trump hails MOAB attack on Afghanistan as "tremendous success"

President Trump has called the deployment of the so-called "Mother of All Bombs" in Afghanistan "another military success" by the United States.


The twenty-one thousand pound explosive device targeted a network of tunnels and caves used by Islamic State fighters in the east of the country.

The U.S. military has dropped what is described as the largest, non-nuclear munition on Nangahar province in Afghanistan.

The GBU-43 is  a 21,000 pound bomb that has been nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs," but is more formally known as a Massive Ordnance Air Blast.

United passenger likely to sue after being dragged from plane

A doctor who was dragged off a United Airlines plane by police is likely to sue the airline for using excessive force.

The lawyer and daugher of 69-year-old David Dao have held a news conference in Chicago following doctor Dao's release from hospital . Lawyer Thomas Demetrio said Dr Dao lost two teeth, suffered concussion, a broken nose and sinus damage, and would have to undergo reconstructive surgery.

He said Dr Dao, who came to America from Vietnam in 1975, was taking the action on behalf of millions of passengers who had been bullied by airlines, especially United.

Dr Dao was forcibly ejected from the plane to make way for airline staff who wanted his seat.

Facebook failed to remove flagged content promoting terrorism - Times of London reports

Family of United Airlines passenger "horrified, shocked, sickened" by forced removal from plane

Lawyers for the passenger forcibly removed from a United Airlines flight last weekend say that he suffered a broken nose, a significant concussion and lost two front teeth in an on-board altercation with police.

Evidence adds up to planned Syrian gas attack
