US drops massive bomb on Afghanistan

The U.S. military has dropped what is described as the largest, non-nuclear munition on Nangahar province in Afghanistan.

The GBU-43 is  a 21,000 pound bomb that has been nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs," but is more formally known as a Massive Ordnance Air Blast.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer confirmed the weapon was used.
