Kansas shooting suspect said he'd 'killed two Iranians'

Police say an American man arrested for shooting two Indians at a Kansas bar last week later told a barmaid he had just "killed two Iranian people".

Adam Purinton fled 70 miles to Missouri after the attack where he confided in a staff member at a restaurant.

Mr Purinton faces charges of first-degree murder.

US Department of Justice drops opposition of Texas voter ID law

The US Department of Justice says it will no longer oppose a Texas
voter ID law, that had been ruled as discriminatory by a federal court
last year.

The move indicates that the Department of Justice will not be backing
civil rights groups who have been challenging the law.

Sir Philip Green Promises BHS Pension Contribution

UK Businessman Sir Philip Green has agreed to contribute to the pensions gap in former retailer BHS.


The chain of department stores collapsed last year with a huge deficit in its pension scheme.


Sir Philip an ex-boss of BHS has been involved in lengthy discussions with the UK's pensions regulator and had promised to sort out the scheme.

South Korea suggests UN suspend North over use of VX nerve agent

South Korea has suggested that the United Nations should suspend North Korea's seat at the world body, for using a chemical weapon to kill the half-brother of its leader Kim Jong Un.


Seoul says the international community should punish Pyongyang for using of an internationally-banned chemical agent.

Trump Blames Obama For Leaks, Town Hall Protests

US President Donald Trump has said in an interview on Fox News that he believes his predecessor is behind various recent national security leaks, and the recent protests at various town hall meetings with members of Congress.

SOUSSE INQUESTS CONCLUDE IN LONDON

The inquest into the deaths of 30 British tourists in a terror attack at a hotel in Sousse in Tunisia is wrapping up in London.

38 people were killed in total when a gunman opened fire on the beach on 26th June 2015.

The coroner has decided to reject a request to rule that neglect contributed to the deaths, instead deciding that all 30 Britons were unlawfully killed.

The inquest looked into whether the UK government and travel companies did enough to protect UK holidaymakers.

Top Soviet Olympic gymnast sells off medals

Outback Austalria arrest of guided missile electrician

An electrician from the town of Young in Australia's outback New South Wales faces life in jail for allegedly helping Islamic State design long-range missiles.
Haisem Zahab, a 42-year-old Australian-born citizen, was arrested on Tuesday as part of an ongoing 18-month investigation, Operation Marksburg, by Australian Federal Police and State police.

Australian police arrest over guided missile threat

A man has been arrested in outback Australia after he allegedly advised Islamic State overseas on how to develop "high-tech weapons capability".
Australian Federal Police say the 42-year-old man was arrested in the town of Young, 350 kilometres (220 miles) south west of Sydney in relation to terrorism offences which don't relate to any planned domestic attack and comes after an 18-month investigation.

Takata pleads guilty to fraud, pay $1b fines

Japanese auto parts manufacturer Takata has plead guilty to one fraud charge and agreed to pay $1 billion in fines and restitution.

Their faulty air bags are found in 42 million vehicles in America, prompting a massive recall.
