UK DOUBLES CYBER-SECURITY FUNDING

The UK is more than doubling its funding to fight against cyber-attacks.

A new cyber security strategy is being set out by the British government, along with £1.9bn ($2.3bn) in funding for it over five years.

National infrastructure will receive extra protection, but the UK is also promising to take the fight to cyber-attackers and retaliate where necessary.

Several recent high-profile hacks - such as that of the World Doping Agency - have been linked by US and UK officials to Russia.

Former hacker Robert Schifreen says there should be more focus on education and training.
