Ahmad Khan Rahami Identifed as NY Bombing Suspect

Officials in New York have identified a suspect wanted for questioning over Saturday's blast in the Chelsea area of Manhattan, in which 29 people were injured.

It comes as a backpack filled with explosives was found in New Jersey in the early hours of Monday.

UK PM to Address UN Summit on Refugees

Australia returns antiquities to India

Australia has returned another two ancient sculptures with questionable
provenance to India but there could be at least eight more on their way
home.
The 12th century Goddess Pratyangira and 3rd century Worshippers of the
Buddha antiquities were handed back to Indian officials on Monday in a
ceremony at the National Gallery in Canberra.

Settlement on Great Barrier Reef coal carrier grounding

First Belgian Teen Dies Via Assisted Suicide

A 17-year-old has become the first minor to die via assisted suicide in Belgium since the country has removed age restrictions on euthanasia.

Pro-Putin’s party wins majority at Parliament elex

With a 47% voter turnout at the recent Parliament elections in Russia the ruling pro-Kremlin party United Russia won over 54% of the vote. Police investigate motive for NYC bombs

Officials in New York are looking for evidence as to the motive behind
a bomb attack in the city's fashionable Chelsea neighbourhood on
Saturday night.

The blast injured 29 people, though all have now been released from hospital.

LONDON POLICE OFFICERS PROBED OVER VEHICLE ATTACK

ISIS linked to Minnesota mall stabbings

An ISIS linked news agency claims the man who stabbed eight people at
a mall in the US state of Minnesota was "a solder of the Islamic

New York Governor: Bomb was "act of terrorism"

The explosion in New York City on Saturday is being treated as a terrorist act.

However, the state's governor says there are currently no links to
international terrorism groups.

29 people were injured in the blast in Manhattan's area of Chelsea,

29 Injured In 'Intentional' Blast in New York City

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has described Saturday night's explosion in the Chelsea neighbourhood of New York City as 'intentional'.

The blast - which was heard blocks away, injured at least 29 people, one of them seriously, and 24 have been taken to local hospitals. 

But as Lorna Shaddick reports from New York, authorities are being cautious about linking the incident to terrorism despite a second device reportedly found in the same area.

Dozens injured in NYC explosion

An explosion shook the New York City neighborhood of Chelsea on Saturday night, while authorities are looking into a possible secondary device nearby.


City officials say the blast on 23rd street injured 29 people. Most suffered minor injuries but one person is in serious condition. There were no fatalities reported.
