Wells Fargo Created 1.5m False Customer Accounts

One of America's largest retail banks has been fined $185 million for opening up 1.5 million accounts without their customers' consent.

They were opened so that Wells Fargo employees could meet sales targets.

New research shows benefits of statins

A recent review of the drug statins, argues that the benefits of the cholesterol-reducing treatment have been underestimated.


A number of major health organisations back the findings published in the Lancet, saying the drug lowers heart attack and stroke risks, while the side-effects occur in relatively few people.

EU "Club Med" group of 6 leaders meets in Athens

The leaders of six European Union countries on the mediterranean sea are meeting in Athens to discuss their solutions to Europe's problems.

Britain's finance minister is warning it would be a 'huge mistake' if other European cities try to take over London's place as a major financial capital after the Brexit vote.

Russia confirms Israel, Palestine agree to talk in Moscow

Top Terrorist Reported Killed in Airstrike in Syria

The top military commander of a former Al Qaeda offshoot in Syria has been killed in an airstrike in Syria, according to two rebel sources.

They said Abu Omar Saraqeb, who heads up the militant group Jabhat Fateh al Sham, died in the countryside outside Aleppo after jets targeted the location.

North Korea Nuclear Test Suspected After Quake

UN recovers 100 fighters from South Sudan in the DRC
