Turkey Vows to Catch Diplomats Refusing to Return

Turkey vows it will track down diplomats who remain on the run around the world following last month's failed coup.

The mission to hunt down and return those diplomats comes as Turkey continues its purge on the public sector.

LAPD Officers Shoot and Kill Teen, Claim He Shot First

Los Angeles police shot and killed a 14-year-old boy after he shot at
the officers, police said Wednesday. The department's gang unit
spotted Jesse Romero while investigating a vandalism call and only
shot him after he allegedly fired a gun in their direction during a
pursuit.

Turkey's President asks US to extradite alleged coup-leader, Fetullah Gulen

with the US unless cleric Fetullah Gulen returns to his home country.

Turkey's President Erdogan has called on the US for the extradition of
Gulen; he and his followers are believed to have organized the July16

Rio Olympics - Kenyan Doping Scandal

A second Kenyan athletics coach has been sent home from the Olympics, as the doping problems widen.
It's alleged the coach tried to give a urine sample in the place of one of the athletes. The IOC have no launched an investigation.

US urges lowering of tensions between Russia and Ukraine

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has sold his troops to be combat ready, after reports of Russian troops massing along the Crimea / Ukraine border.

Russia has accused Ukraine of carrying out incursions into Crimea, allegations rejected as a fantasy by Kiev.

Condemnation for alledged chemical weapons attack in Syria

The United Nations says, if it is proven that chemical weapons were used in Aleppo, that would be a war crime.

According to videos on social media, and other reports, at least four people died and many children were treated for exposure to chlorine gas.

U.S. State Department deputy spokesperson Elizabeth Trudeau says the Obama administration is very worried about the increasing number of these reports:

Hillary Clinton has laid out her economic vision for America and accused her rival Donald Trump of wanting to build an economy for himself and his friends.

In a speech in Michigan the Democratic nominee sought to present a contrast between her policies and those of her Republican rival.



Mrs. Clinton said Donald Trump was pushing the "failed theory of trickle down economics".

US deports former Guatemalan Soldier


U.S. authorities have confirmed they've deported a former Guatemalan soldier accused of helping carry out a massacre of more than 160 people in 1982.

Santos Lopez Alonzo had tried to avoid being deported saying he was afraid he'd be tortured in Guatemala in revenge for helping Washington prosecute one of his former comrades.

UN investigating reports of chlorine attack in Aleppo, says Syria envoy

Trump repeats Islamic State claim against Pres. Obama
