Fans welcome home Wales 2016 Euro Team

Thousand of Welsh fans have welcomed home the Euro 2016 squad after they made it to the semi-finals of the Championship.

It was the first time the national team reached a major tournament for more than 50 years.

The team who entered the European Championship as underdogs narrowly missed a spot in the final after losing to Portugal.

Obama urges NATO to stand firm despite Brexit


US President barack Obama is urging NATO leaders to stand by their position against Russia over its annexation of Crimea, despite Britain's vote to leave the European Union.


He said the Brexit vote should not weaken the Western alliance.

US and South Korea to deploy missile defense system

The United States and South Korea have announced they will deploy a
missile defense system to counter threats from North Korea.

The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense- or THAAD- will be setup in
South Korea but the proposal has been heavily criticized by China.

One of the Dallas Police Shooting Suspects Named

One of the suspects in the overnight shooting to death of five police officers in Dallas told them  he wanted to kill white officers.

That man, who was later killed, has been named as Micah Xavier Johnson.

He appears to have been angered by recent high profile police shootings in other cities.

Officers identified in Minnesota shooting

The police officers who were directly involved in the shooting death of Philando Castile in a town outside Minneapolis St. Paul have been identified  Joseph Kauser and  Jeronimo Yanez, who shot multiple times.

Across Minnesota, and in fact across the United States, protestors took to the street to protest against police violence and in support of the victims of racially-motivated violence.

Calls for more peace, fewer guns following week of violence

As the U.S. mourns the deaths of two African-American men and five police officers in Dallas, Americans across the nation are calling for change.

From the NATO Summit in Warsaw, U.S. President Barack Obama promised the issue of gun violence will be addressed, as well as the issues of racial inequality, sub-standard education and the lack of economic opportunity for all.

From the well of the U.S. House of Representatives, a clearly moved Speaker Paul Ryan said that everyone wants the violence to stop.

The US economy added 287,000 new jobs last month, boosting confidence for Wall St and investors.

A suspect involved in the overnight shooting to death of five police officers in Dallas said that he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.

The police disclosed that the man was upset over recent police shootings of black men. 

He was later killed by an explosive detonated by police.

Assailants targeted police from rooftops in a sniper ambush, targeting officers who were overseeing a protest march on Thursday night.

UK to deploy hundreds of troops to Poland and Estonia

The UK is to send hundreds of troops to Poland and Estonia in a bid to deter Russia from further aggression...

Court sentences two over Cologne sex attacks

A German court has found two men guilty of sexual assault, the first convictions stemming from a series of New Year's Eve attacks in the city of Cologne.
