Amnesty slams Qatar and Fifa for human rights abuses in World Cup stadium construction
Human Rights organisation Amnesty International says it has discovered incidences of forced labour and poor treatment of migrant workers, who are involved in the construction of the Qatar 2022 Football World Cup venues.
It is calling on FIFA, the football governing body, to ensure the tournament is not built on human rights abuses.
The rights group says many workers are being forced to live in poor conditions, whilst paying large recruitment fees and many have had their passports confiscated and wages withheld.
Qatar has responded saying it was concerned by the allegations and would investigate them.

Opposition parties call for Zuma to step down after court ruling
Opposition parties in South Africa have called for President Jacob Zuma to step down after the highest court in the country ruled he had violated the constitution when he failed to repay government funds spent to upgrade his private home.
The court has given the Treasury department 60 days to determine how much the President should repay for improvements to his country home that included installing a swimming pool and amphitheatre and cost around $23 million.
The ruling is a victory for opposition parties who say they will push for President Zuma's impeachment.
Julius Malema who leads the Economic Freedom Fighters party says the President must now go.

The petition challenging President Museveni's victory has been thrown out.
Uganda's supreme court says there is no convincing evidence to show that the elections were rigged.
Opposition leader Amama Mbabazi claimed the elections were filled with flaws. However the court found most witness accounts unreliable.
The nine justices ruled that they were satisfied with the results announced, saying they were a true representation of the will of the people of Uganda.
The court however faulted the electoral commission for the late delivery of voting materials to polling centres.
The opposition has accepted the court ruling but say they are not surprised by the decision….
This is the second time Mr Museveni's win is being challenged in court.
In 2006 court found that there were irregularities but not enough to overturn the results.
Museveni will be sworn-in in May, extending his 30 year rule.

Cameron feels the heat from steel crisis
British Prime Minister David Cameron is hosting crisis talks in Downing Street over the future of the Tata steel works after the Indian company announced it is selling its UK operations.
The Port Talbot plant, and 3 other Tata plants account for over 15 thousand direct jobs as well as supporting thousands of others and closures will be devastating for their communities.
Opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says the steel industry should be temporarily renationalized if no buyer comes forward, while some euro sceptic MPs have called for subsidizing the industry and ignoring EU rules restricting so-called state aid.
Government ministers have downplayed talk of nationalizing the steelworks, however senior members have said that all options are on the table.
Reporter Charlotte Wright in Downing Street says there are no easy answers.
