British Prime Minister David Cameron is hosting crisis talks in Downing Street over the future of the Tata steel works after the Indian company announced it is selling its UK operations.
The Port Talbot plant, and 3 other Tata plants account for over 15 thousand direct jobs as well as supporting thousands of others and closures will be devastating for their communities.
Opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says the steel industry should be temporarily renationalized if no buyer comes forward, while some euro sceptic MPs have called for subsidizing the industry and ignoring EU rules restricting so-called state aid.
Government ministers have downplayed talk of nationalizing the steelworks, however senior members have said that all options are on the table.
Reporter Charlotte Wright in Downing Street says there are no easy answers.
