UK BRACES FOR MORE FLOODING

Parts of Northern England and Scotland are braced for yet another round of severe flooding, with a new storm due to sweep in.

The government is being forced to defend its spending on flood defences after a series of heavy rainfall incidents in a matter of weeks.

The army has been drafted in to help bolster defences, and assist people affected.
