JAB Holding Company buys Keurig Green Mountain to expand coffee empire

The coffee pod maker Keurig Green Mountain has announced that it's
being bought out by Europe's JAB Holding Company for 13.9 billion US
dollars.

JAB is a becoming a major player in the US food and beverage market,

U.S. Department of Justice Opens Chicago Police Department Probe

The U.S. Department of Justice is opening an independent investigation into the Chicago Police Department. The federal probe follows the ongoing civil rights investigation into the death of Laquan McDonald. A video released by the Chicago police showed McDonald being shot 16 times last year. The video sparked outrage across the city and later led to the resignation of the police superintendent.

Obama terrorism address [clips]

President Obama has told the American people that the United States
must not give in to fear in the wake of last week's mass shooting in
San Bernardino.


It's just the third time the President has spoken directly from the
Oval Office and vowed that groups like the self-proclaimed Islamic
state will be defeated.

London attack raises questions over transport safety

Police in the United Kingdom are urging witnesses that filmed a stabbing on the London underground to share their footage with investigators. 

A 56-year-old man was seriously wounded in the attack that police are describing as a "terrorist incident."

A knifeman is believed to have shouted "this is for Syria" during the attack and questions are now being raised about safety on London's public transport.

Venezuela election preview
