Turkish president Erdogan visits EU officials in Brussels

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in Brussels to meet with European leaders which will predominantly focus on the migration crisis.

EU Turkish relations have become increasingly strained in recent years over media crackdowns and corruption scandals in Turkey.

Russian air strikes in Syria criticised by Western leaders

REPORT: GERMANY EXPECTS 1.5 MILLION REFUGEES THIS YEAR

TPP announcement delayed

Organizers of the Trans-Pacific Partnership have pushed back a press

Doctors without Borders demands full investigation into Kunduz tragedy

Medicins sans Frontieres - also known as Doctors without Borders - is demanding a full investigation into why their hospital was a target for an airstrike in Kunduz Afghanistan

US President declares South Carolina state of emergency

Wall St. Watching For Trade, Jobs Data


In the week ahead, Wall Street investors will keep their eyes fixed on data, as they know that is what the Federal Reserve is digesting as they inch closer to a decision about raising interest rates in the US. Trade numbers out early in the week is considered one of the strongest data points the Fed will receive ahead of their October meeting, with jobless claims out later projected to confirm strength in the US economy.

US admits responsibility for Kunduz hospital attack

The US military has confirmed that it was responsible for an attack in Afghanistan that badly damaged a hospital in the embattled city of Kunduz leaving at least 16 people dead.


The Pentagon says its forces were targeting militants in the area.


At least 50 people are being treated for injuries.

US, European and Gulf States Publish Declaration Against Russian Actions in Syria

Investigators Look for Motive in Community College Shooting

Investigators are looking for a motive for the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in southern Oregon. 

The local sheriff has taken the unusual step of refusing to publicly identify the shooter but other law enforcement sources have identified him.
