EU leaders arrive for refugee and migrant crisis summit

European Union leaders are arriving in Brussels today for an emergency summit on the refugee crisis with the member states deeply divided on further action.

A quota system to relocate 120 thousands asylum seekers from Syria, Iraq and Eritrea across the EU's 28 countries was penned by EU interior ministers Tuesday.

But Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary voted against the plan saying people who are placed in countries they don't want to remain in, will travel to their desired country easily through the EU's border free schengen zone.

Entering the summit, UK Prime Minister David Cameron said his country will exercise its right to opt out of the quota system.
