GREECE, CREDITORS EXPRESS ANGER AT NEGOTIATION PROGRESS

Relations between Greece and its international creditors appear to be at a new low ahead of a crunch summit for the country's chances of avoiding default.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has accused Greece's government of misleading voters about its bailout proposals.

This after Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras accused the creditors of trying to 'humiliate' the Greek people and insisted the IMF bears 'criminal responsibility' for recession-deepening austerity measures.

Greece needs creditors to approve reforms in exchange for the release of bailout cash.

On Thursday European finance ministers meet in Brussels to attempt to head off a default.

CAMERON IN ITALY FOR EU, MIGRANT TALKS

British Prime Minister David Cameron is visiting Italy on Wednesday for talks with Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on Europe's migrant crisis, and EU reform.

It comes after European Union ministers failed to agree a plan to distribute asylum seekers more equally across the bloc's member states.

Italy has warned it will adopt a 'plan B' that will 'hurt' Europe, if the EU can't reach agreement on the issue.

David Cameron is also using the trip to continue to push for a renegotiation of Britain's membership of the EU ahead of a referendum he'll hold by the end of 2017, according to political correspondent Theo Usherwood.
