France bans the Uber taxi app

France has announced it will ban the controversial taxi ordering app service Uber from the 1st of January.

Judges at courts in the Netherlands and Spain also ruled the service is illegal and should not be operating in their countries.

Belgium paralysed by strikes action

Belgium is experiencing a nationwide strike that's paralyzed the country's entire airspace and stopped all public transport links.

Attackers burn down human rights office in Chechnya

U.S. Senate Passes Spending Bill, Government Won't Shut Down

US Fed considers first rate rise since 2006

New Kenyan security law slammed

Flight Chaos after 'technical glitch' affects UK airport
