U.S. Senate Passes Spending Bill, Government Won't Shut Down
The U.S. Senate passed a $1.1 trillion spending bill that lifts the threat of a government shutdown Sunday. The measure is now on the desk of President Barack Obama, who is expected to sign it into law before Wednesday's spending authority deadline.
