Wall Street has rebounded on Friday after a turbulent week, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbing around 400 points as bond markets stabilised following days of sharp volatility.
The recovery has been driven in part by strong gains in healthcare stocks, with pharmaceutical giant Merck among the top performers.
The advance has trimmed what had been a significant weekly decline for the S&P 500.
