RUBIO SAYS PROGRESS 'BUT NOT FINALITY' ON STRAIT OF HORMUZ DEAL AS QATAR CIRCULATES DRAFT AGREEMENTS

Qatar says drafts of a potential agreement to end the US-Iran war are being circulated, though the two sides are not talking directly.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has acknowledged there has been movement towards reopening the Strait of Hormuz, while Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has suggested a deal could come within hours.

But shipping analysts say fewer than ten vessels a day are currently transiting the blockaded waterway.
