The medical charity Doctors Without Borders has warned that communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo are still not receiving adequate support to contain the country's Ebola outbreak, as the crisis reached its hundredth day on Sunday.
More than twenty-five hundred people have died and over five thousand cases have been recorded since the outbreak of the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola was declared in the northeast of the country — making it the deadliest in the DRC's history.
The World Health Organization and the Africa Centres for Disease Control have called for a major scaling-up of the response.
