Chinese authorities have for the first time released a nationality breakdown of foreigners missing in Tibet following the catastrophic floods on the Nepal-China border, with about one hundred Americans among those unaccounted for, while a new landslide has formed a second barrier lake near the border, forcing the evacuation of Chinese rescue teams.
In Nepal, the death toll has risen to seven hundred and fifty-two, with more than two thousand five hundred people still missing, and army engineers near the town of Bidur have been drilling into a hydropower tunnel where dozens of workers are believed trapped.
Teams have managed to get oxygen and water inside, but say they have had no response.
